  1. Expecting to strike it rich

Gambling and casinos are attached to Las Vegas’ name. Most tourists are indeed lucky to strike it rich in one sitting, but that doesn’t happen all the time or to everyone! Lasvegasdirect says, “Slots are all luck and not based on skill. A random number generator determines if you will win or lose before you even sit down to play the machine. A computer chip has your decisions already determined.” But you can get a higher chance of winning significant amounts by choosing $5, $10, and $25 slots.

Observe and take a look and go where the locals play because they know the good and the looser slots.

Don’t be too focused on winning, be and responsible gambler who knows how to set his limit and just have fun!

  2. Having dinner at overpriced restaurants

Touring Las Vegas, viewing the breath-taking sunset at the Strip will complete the trip. But don’t be fooled by the glamour and fancy cuisine, they can get really expensive. You get quality good food for a much lower price. There are Budget Eats near your hotels, or better yet, go outside the Strip. You will be blown away by how much less costly they can be.

There are also many buffets offered almost everywhere, and they include refillable drinks too. Watch out for happy hours as they offer hefty discounts on food and beverages.

Always do some research for restaurants on the internet to find something that is within your budget. When booking a hotel, pick those ones with free meals that can save you some moolah as well!

  3. Buying show tickets full price

It would be best if you never bought ticket shows at full price. There are great deals all over the internet. Try searching on Vegas.com; the website offers tons of options. You can choose from insider deals of bestselling shows, adult shows, magic shows, comedy, tribute, hypnosis to production shows.

If you need help getting one, they also have Customer Care that you can email or call. Like what they say, “Not all magicians are on the Las Vegas Strip. Our customer support agents can help make your problems disappear.”

  4. Trying to visit all in one day.

Don’t be deceived by the looks of the establishments, they may look close together, but they are blocks apart in person! The Strip itself is a 2.5-mile-long strip that stretches through the city from northeast to southwest. You cannot pay them all a visit for a small chunk of your time. So many places to go, but you have so little time. There are lots of other attractions to see and one day is not enough!

Planetware has listed 20 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in Las Vegas, and there is no way you can see them all in one visit. You can opt for at least three days’ vacation to see some or most of these excellent spots.

  5. Wearing the wrong clothes

Las Vegas’ weather can be so cruel. Wearing the right type of shoes and clothings when roaming around is the key.

Myperfectitinerary, Monique recommends the perfect outfit for males and females at any given itinerary in Las Vegas. She says, “When you are sightseeing, you may be going outside along the Las Vegas Strip. If you are traveling anytime but winter, it is fairly hot in Las Vegas! I would bring some lightweight and casual tops that you can easily dress up or down with accessories. An easy, cute and casual outfit is a pair of jeans, plain-colored t-shirt and a hair/neck scarf!”

She also added, “You can wear sandals to pretty much anywhere except for nice dinners and the nightclubs. Yes, you CAN wear them to the day clubs and you will not be under-dressed, I promise you. To any summer destination I bring one pair of black sandals (not flip flops) and one pair of tan sandals. This way, I have something I can easily throw on with any outfit and looks adorable!”

  6. Ridesharing

Ridesharing apps have become popular these days. You can be picked up from your hotel to get around a lot of major tourist destinations. But Bradly Retter of Bestuscasinos.org says, “One warning to keep in mind when ordering a Lyft or Uber ride, is that they usually will not pick you up directly on the Las Vegas strip. Police tend to crack down on vehicles blocking the flow of traffic. It’s not a big deal, but be prepared to move to a side street for pickup and dropoff.”

Following the COVID19 protocol, it is better to go on solo. Why not try the eBikes? Retter also mentioned that “The electric bikes in Las Vegas are local businesses. You can rent a bike with a motor to assist your pedaling at stores and kiosks. At around 15 mph, you can take in all the sites Las Vegas has to offer at a relaxing pace. Just remember not to dump the bike anywhere and return it to a designated charging station.”

Or give it a go with the GO Las Vegas Explorer Pass. It’s stress-free, saves time and money.

Bryan Mullennix of Visit Las Vegas suggests the tour bus, He says, “Instead, I’d recommend getting a pass for the Hop-on-Hop-Off Tour Bus that runs up and down the Strip all day long. It’s one of the best ways to get around and eliminates the car rental and the parking fees altogether.”

  7. Participating in a fight

This is one of the things you must avoid – getting into a fight. When we have too much fun and get too much alcohol, it impairs our fair judgment leading us to pick up a fight or get involved in one.

Las Vegas Defense Group stated, “Clark County Code 12.33.010 makes it a misdemeanor in Clark County, Nevada to commit disorderly conduct. This is a “catch-all” offense that comprises any kind of loud or disruptive behavior. Penalties include up to $1,000 in fines and/or up to six months in jail. But courts are often willing to dismiss the case in exchange for a fine.” Clark County is comprised of the following cities and towns: Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and others.
